Danish beer & walking tour - 3 hours
Danes consume an average of 90 liters of beer per person annually which places them firmly in the Top 10 of European beer lovers. And though Aalborg is most famous for it’s production of Akvavit, there is little doubt that they love their beer too. Pubs, bars and cafes are generously represented in the street picture and Aalborg is famous throughout the land for Jomfru Ane Gade (Virgin Ane Street) – an entire street dedicated entirely to pubs, bars, restaurants and night clubs.
Discover Aalborg from the beer lovers perspective with a guided pub stroll to three of the most popular local ‘watering holes’. By foot, you will not have far to go to find your first ‘beer oasis’. Step inside and learn about the specialty beers carried here – or in some cases brewed right here on the premises – meet the barkeep and enjoy the first of a total of six 15cl beer tastings included in the tour. The beers will be served in a special Aalborg Beerwalk logo glass which is yours to keep at the end of the tour.
Strolling from pub to pub your guide will show you a bit of the old town of Aalborg and share stories from the colorful history of this Northern town.
At the end of your tour, you may choose to return with the guide to your ship or continue your exploration of the Aalborg Beer Universe independently.
